What's on?

"At SCC you're only a stranger once!"

Since the Sheldon Community Church (then known as the Sheldon Christian Fellowship) began in the early 1990's, the congregation has continued to meet at the Silvermere Centre, Silvermere Road in Sheldon. From September 2006, the church now uses the recently refurbished Mapledene Primary School Hall for its Sunday morning services.

There is now a broad program of services and events designed to cater for all ages and people from whatever background, centring around our Sunday morning meeting. We welcome everyone to come along and worship the true and living Saviour Jesus Christ with us and to experience His power and His love for themselves.

Here is a guide to details and times of the current meetings and Fellowship events at SCC;

Sunday morning 11am: Family Service (Mapledene Primary School)
- this is always a lively service and we would encourage you to come and join us as we worship God together. Also, "Energise" (Childrens' Church) for kids aged 1-12 from around midday.

Sunday evening 6:30pm
: Evening Service

- this is always very different to the morning service and involves a wide range of various different spiritual and social activities. These range from Bible Studies, Question Time, Receiving Meetings, Video Nights, "Party in the Park" and joint service events.

Monday evening 7:30pm
: Breakthrough Prayer Group (189, Whitecroft Road)
- this is a new venture by SCC into focussing our prayers specifically on God building His church here in Sheldon, bringing before Him our friends, family and neighbours.

Thursday evening 6:50pm: Club T (Mapledene Primary School)
- a wide range of activities for kids aged 5 to 11 from Football to Arts & Crafts. This kicks off with an always popular "God-spot".

Thursday evening 8pm
: Prayer Meeting (Mapledene Primary School)
- an opportunity for all to unite in seeking God's face, praying for the needs of the church and of the community. Usually culminates in short practical Bible teaching.

Thursday evening 8:15pm: The Hub (Mapledene Primary School)
- the young people meet in an informal and relaxed environment to socialise, and to discuss and discover the Biblical stance on issues relevant to them.

The church also often runs many social events...watch this space!
