Worship:

At SCC, we believe in praising and worshipping God in a relevant and lively style. Our worship band is known as Beracah; our sole aim is worshipping our Lord Jesus Christ - our Saviour, Redeemer and Friend - with all our hearts, soul and mind.  Our prayer is that our worship becomes contageous and encourages believers to worship the Lord "in spirit and in truth".

Worship reflects our relationship with God, and we all want that closer walk with God, to experience His power, His personal touch, in our lives.  The power of praise and worship is key to experiencing the supernatural demonstration of God's power in our services.  Just read 2 Chronicles 20 v1-30 to see the effects it can have!!

Our vision is to experience the presence of God in all our services, but more importantly,  press further and see the glory of God fall in our midst, just as we read about in 2 Chronicles 5 v13-14.  As a result, we believe that God will save, deliver and heal in our worship time alone.

Beracah have performed at many events including the Reason Roadshow an open air concert along with other local bands in Sheldon. This was their first opportunity to play to an "unchurched" audience and proclaim the message of new life that Jesus brings.

During the summer of 2002, they took the 'main stage' at the Merry Hill shopping Centre and played in front of hundreds of shoppers on a busy Saturday. This was a great experience for the group but also a fantastic privilege to be a part of a means of proclaiming the gospel to the masses through music. During the same summer, the band spent more than 2 weeks in Virginia, USA as part of the "ID:UK" missions team, playing nightly at an evangelistic coffee house event for the local community.

Beracah were the "house band" for the SCC INDULGENCE events leading young people from across the region in cutting edge praise and worship. The band "Delirious?" guest appeared at INDULGENCE IV and performed an acoustic set, as well as taking part in a questions & answers session. The INDULGENCE event always attracted a large audience and evolved into something that was geared to equip the youth of today to lead the church of tomorrow.

Beracah aim to encourage other churches into worshipping Jesus 'in spirit and in truth' and regularly support events at local churches, as well as leading praise and worship at regional church events.
